NetProve® respects the privacy of its clients, website visitors and the participants in its surveys (respondents). We ensure that the personal information you provide to us is treated confidentially.
In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect, for what purposes we use it and how we handle security and retention periods. Personal data is processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).

3. What data do we process?
As a research firm, we distinguish between three groups of stakeholders:
A. Website visitors & leads When you visit our website or contact us via a form, we process:
- Name details, e-mail address and phone number (if you provide them).
- Technical data such as your IP address and browser information (see chapter 8).
B. Clients (Business) To perform our services, we process:
- Company details, contact names, billing details and correspondence.
C. Respondents (Research participants) If you participate in a NetProve survey, we may process:
- Contact details (such as an e-mail address for invitations).
- Socio-demographic characteristics (such as age, gender, region).
- Your answers and opinions.
- Anonymisation: Where possible, research results are anonymised immediately. This means that answers in the final report cannot be traced back to you as an individual, unless you have given your explicit consent.
4. Purposes of processing
We process your data for the following purposes:
- Services: Conducting market research and data analysis.
- Contact: To call or email you if necessary to carry out our services.
- Security: Protecting our website from spam and abuse.
- Legal obligation: Meeting administrative obligations (such as tax returns).
5. Principles
We process your data on the following AVG bases:
- Consent: You have given consent (e.g. to participate in a survey). You may withdraw this consent at any time.
- Agreement: The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (client).
- Legitimate interest: To conduct statistical research, website analysis and security.
6. Retention periods
NetProve does not keep your personal data for longer than strictly necessary.
- Customer details: Until 7 years after end of relationship (tax retention obligation).
- Research data (Respondents): Personal data linked to surveys are deleted or anonymised once the research process is completed, usually within 36 months of completion.
- Anonymised data: We store statistical data without personal data indefinitely for trend analysis.
7. Sharing with third parties
NetProve sells your data never to third parties. We share data only if necessary for the performance of our agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process data for us (such as IT suppliers or survey software).
8. Website Technology, Cookies and Embedded Content
NetProve uses cookies and scripts to make the website work properly and secure.
A. Embedded content from other websites Posts on this site may contain embedded (embedded) content. For example, videos (YouTube/Vimeo), maps (Google Maps) or social media posts. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited this other website. These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that particular service.
B. Spam detection Messages sent via forms on this website may be checked via an automated spam detection service (such as Akismet or Google reCAPTCHA). This analyses data such as your IP address and ‘User Agent’ (browser data) to determine whether you are a legitimate visitor or a spam bot.
C. Login Cookies (If applicable) If you login to a restricted area of our website (e.g. a customer portal), we store cookies to save your login and remember your screen options.
- Login cookies are valid for 2 days;
- Cookies for screen options are valid for 1 year;
- Once you log out, login cookies are deleted.
9. Security
We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access and unauthorised modification. Our website uses a secure SSL connection.
10. Your rights
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by NetProve.
